Memories of a fun-loving guy will remain with us

Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories.

Cathy you will forever be in my heart and soul.

Happy 100th birthday to Helen Hazlehurst! The most avid animal lover we know

Daisy was a beautiful companion and soul to Bob and Susan. She will be missed and a remembered always.

We rescued Clark from Wishbone in January 2018. He filled our lives with love and joy. Sadly, he walks the rainbow bridge Wednesday morning, August 28, 2024. We estimate he was 12 1/2 years old.

In Loving Memory of Griffin, the little ankle biter!

In memory of Beverly Sennett - a beautiful wife, mom and grandma that loved animals. She will greatly be missed.

Scoober was a "foster failure" from Wishbone and we loved him from the moment we saw him. Scoober thought all toys were his and he loved treats. We will always love and miss the happy little guy.

Ellen loved her pets and her family. Always came out slugging for them.

In honor of Dr. Jamie Schertz, who took care of our cats for many years. She is professional, compassionate and so very caring, especially as our beloved pets became older with many old age issues.

Tributes and memorials - 2024

Click here to make your memorial or tribute donation.
Memorials:  Memorials may be made in memory of individuals or pets who have passed away.  When a special individual or animal companion leaves us, it marks a time of loss and grief.  Your memorial donation will help the dogs rescued by Wish Bone Canine Rescue find loving new homes.  Please donate whatever amount you feel is appropriate.  For each donation, a virtual candle will be lit and a photo with your special words will be placed on our memorial page for one year.
Tributes:  You may also help animals in need by paying tribute to someone special. Give a donation to Wish Bone Rescue in honor of an individual, beloved pet, family member or friend (in lieu of a present) and we will send them a card announcing your gift.

I adopted Annie (formerly known as Bobbin) in August 2011. She was between 16 and 17 years old. She crossed the rainbow bridge on November 18, 2024. She helped me foster over 100 dogs for Wish Bone. Run free, sweet girl!

In honor of Nora & Chris Dukowitz-Roberts for helping the animals in celebration of the birthdays of two of the biggest dog lovers we know.

In loving memory of Justin Gesty, a cherished brother, son, grandson, and father, who had a special bond with his dogs and cared for them as deeply as he did for his family.

Roman was adopted from Wishbone, as part of a football litter. His name was originally Buck. Roman was the biggest snuggler, and he had the whole hearts of his humans & family. He liked taking naps, ripping up toys, and following his mom around the house. He loved playing fetch with his dad. We lost him after 10.5 years, and our hearts are broken. He was so, so loved.

Given in memory of a loving mother and grandmother

I will never forget Meggin’s beautiful smile, she was such a sweet girl you couldn’t help but notice. I was looking forward to having her in my agility class at TCKC, as her experience grew. Meggin, I only knew you a short while but you made a quick and heartfelt impression, and will be missed. Louie and Earl were well loved! My most deep sympathy to your family and loved ones.

Meggin was an amazing owner doing agility with Louie and nose work with Earl. They were an amazing team and their beautiful journey was cut to short.

In honor of Michelle Roth well/lambeau

Thank you!

In memory of Dawn Summer’s mother, Cathy, who loved her family and her pets dearly! You will be missed by many! With love from the SC Moms!

We adopted Huckleberry almost 12 years ago. He was 5 months old and had been a stray. The foster family included a young boy who told us “He’s a lover!” He was right. Huckleberry was a wonderful dog whom we had the honor to adopt. Thank you Wish Bone for this wonderful dog.

In memory of Bryan Hallengren. He was a good friend to many.

Heaven has gained an Angel on 1/4/24. Meggin is now at peace with her fur babies, Louie and Earl. Her bright and funny laughter will be missed.

In honor of Cabela who loves and is loved now and always.
